Inklight

For those of you that don’t know, Inklight is the University of St Andrews’ Creative Writing Society. They’re open to all students that are interested in any kind of writing – whether it’s prose, poetry, screenplays or rap lyrics, Inklight are your buds!

They hold events throughout the year, such as Open Mic Nights, workshops, and the ever-popular (and somewhat infamous) Poetry Slams! They also hold events in November designed especially for participants of NaNoWriMo.

Inklight considers its most important role to be encouraging and supporting burgeoning talent in St Andrews, and it’s for that reason that every year the society publishes a journal that showcases undergraduate writing. The most recent edition was called Wanderlust, and will continue to be available until it sells out.
